Starting January 25, 2020 Smokehouse will be open from 5pm on Saturdays only.  The remainder of the week, the restaurant is fully booked for a private catering function.  We’ll re-open to the public, 7 nights a week, in the spring!

Established local chef Keith Ilavsky has launched Fernie’s latest restaurant and a menu of mouth-watering new dishes. Located at the Red Tree Lodge, just off the highway, Smokehouse specialises in Cajun-inspired slow-cooked smoked dishes, with options for carnivores and vegetarians alike.

Southern classics are given a sophisticated make-over in dishes like their hushpuppies cornmeal fritters with smoked jalapeno and ginger honey, or their popular blackened red snapper served with salsa verde, sweet potato infused polenta frites, smoked eggplant, roasted red peppers, grilled avocado and pickled tomatillos.

Smokehouse favourites are represented with a smoked pork belly starter, beer brined, applewood-smoked ribs, and cherrywood-smoked chicken leg. Thoughtful dressings such as their smoked peach and white balsamic vinaigrette complete delicious salads, and for something more substantial try the smoked vegetable ratatouille.
